REVIEW: COME ON INNER PEACE
This story is about Samar garg, in third year of his collage, a science student, attending his final practical exams, in which he has to make clear blue crystals. He just lost his girlfriend Kanika due to her asthma.He is sulking about it as he thinks, he is the reason for it.Samar found out his good friend Roy and Kanika were smooching,but actually roy was giving CPR after an asthma attack.Samar break’s it of and travels to a village called Arambol in northen Goa.and takes a menial job at a shack called Wood stock Village. There is where Kanika finds samar and tries to Explain what happened that day,meanwhile has a asthma attack,they rush her to a nearby clinic,latter take her to Panjim in an ambulance,but she doesn’t make it.all this sulking and drama one of Samars good friend Saloni who also is a psychology major,suggest to go to a ashram in Rishikesh.While Travelling in the bus Samar(he) meet a intresting character Vandana Manchanda, an obnoxious Punjabi in her late thirties, their 1st meeting is a disaster,however,he hates he,ans she likes to pick on every on she can.After he reaches the ashram, he find out she is his mentor,he is quiet frustrated. There are two thing one does in the ashram,1st meditation i.e. yoga, 2nd Karma yoga(to help people,nature without any expectation in return).during meditation vandana pulls prank on him,by calling on his mobile.both of them are send to the head swamiji in a lonesome kutiya. Jagdish the main swamiji in the Ashram, reads the frustration on Samars mind,and tries to calm him down. Swamiji tries to open up Samar,in turn Samar pours every thing out.Swami tries to help Samar let go of Kanika.he makes him realize Samar is in love with another girl,Navya Sharma.
Navya is from indore MP ,studied in Bhopal in a pharmacy collage. One time she wanted to blow ballons ,she couldn’t find any,so she bought a pack of condoms from a medical shop and made ballons out of it.she was not lika a regular girl, she was different, she was this and she was that, blah blah very Swift.so vandana and samar Team up and try to find Navya Sharma, they visit Bhopal to her Pharmacy collage,to find out she was never a student there. Depressed and all they try to come back to Delhi,on the Station,where Vandana buys a fiction novel.in the Train samar borrows it ,He is so surprised to find out that the novel is written Nayanikai Sharma, as Sumar was the one who suggested her to be a novel Writter,while their together in ambrol. his happiness does not now any extent.he informs Vandana about this .as they reach delhi the move in Samars flat.they trace the Publisher,to find out that navya is always on the move.he finds out she has a boyfriend Dj Vyk.they find out he is playing out at Urban Pind, unable to enter ,divya helps them in.he finds navya but she is stoned,he has a fightwith Dj Vyk, Vandana pulls him out of the Disco.to see vandana again ,he has to be present at Ronnie’s party,who is A flim Star.they think going to the Party as a Drug Dealer.Meth(Methamphetamine ,Crystal and liquid form) is the Drug they try to sell it to Ronnie.to find the raw material, making there is a big goose chase, where the close friend roy working at manesar at a pharma company provides.
Samar makes the drug,poses as a dealer,pulls navya out From the cluches of Drugs and Dj Nyk.Takes her back to ambrol in goa.while finds out that vandana has lung Cancer,at its last stage,she is a lesbian,in love with divya,used to live with divya,worked in her interior designing company.he feels bad for her,sets up an web site save vandana.com ,he feels responsible for both ,saving vandana and saving navya.he sells extra drugs(Meth) made by him to pay for vandana Treat ment,informs divya about Vandana illness.Vandana has only one month,but divya by her side.navya is taken to Rishikesh,to pull her out from her withdrawal Symptoms.the head Swami Jagdish helps them both realize that they love each other.there is love making between them in the ashram.latter as a karma Yoga Samar and navya try ro save Dj vyk from his drug Addiction.
My Views: if it is 1st novel written by the author it was quiet good, however the wild goose chase keeps you on your toes,the story was good but many parts were predictable.The author used high level english,more troublesome was the technical words and procedures ,which were royal pain in the abdomen. However I think ,one should read this novel, cause for a price Rs 68/- (MRP 100/-)it was a good one.
